From Amsterdam CS leaves bus 316 (carrier EBS) every 15 minutes to Volendam; between 8 am and 8 pm. The bus runs on a separate bus lane, little chance of delay. The ride takes 25 minutes and drops you off in the centre of Volendam. Mondial Museum is at the port, a short walk from the bus stop.
With the I Amsterdam City card the bus between Amsterdam and Volendam is free of charge.

On stone’s throw of Amsterdam and Volendam lies the Zaanse Schans (also good accessible by public transport, only 20 minutes from Volendam). In the Zaanse Schans are some authentic regional ‘Zaanse’ houses and beautiful historic windmills. In Museum Mondial you will find the smallest windmill in the world. Wonderful to combine it with these mills.
Harbour of Volendam
Museum Mondial is located right on the harbour of Volendam. Outside the museum is the Marken Express, the boat to the historic peninsula of Marken. A nice trip of 25 minutes over the IJsselmeer to the former island of Marken with its distinctive green and blue wooden houses. A return ticket costs 12.50 euro p.p. and admission to Marken is free.
If you are coming by boat to the marina of Volendam you nearly are at Museum Mondial, situated on the pavement. A unique museum that is open since may 2018. Come for a visist and be amazed surprised by the world-unique collection of microminiatures.
